Borja Gutierrez Leads the Emerging Markets and Finance Team at Solarplaza, with a global portfolio of events in Latin America, Africa and Asia. The core focus of all the team’s efforts is bridging the funding gap for PV projects by connecting investors and financiers to developers with bankable PV projects.
Prior to working with Solarplaza Borja spent 9 years in China focusing on managing a variety of sustainability related projects in areas including microfinance, education and healthcare throughout the Greater China region. He also held the position of Team Lead in Microsoft focusing on software localization testing for Windows 7.
Borja holds a Master Degree in International Development Studies from the University of Sydney and speaks several languages including Spanish, Mandarin, Dutch, French and English.

Rob also provides strategic advise to clients during projects and in the resolution of disputes and has acted on a number of major disputes both in the UK and Europe in a variety of different dispute forums.
Rob has advised on a wide variety of projects ranging from commercial buildings to major process plant and infrastructure projects. Rob has particular experience in energy, infrastructure and major redevelopment projects.

Andreas Balzer MD of IBC Solar in Singapore, focusing on PV project development, technology solution, structured financing and equity financing.
He is involved as Managing Director and Board Member for more than 10 years in the Renewable Energy Industry and 5 years in the Oil, Gas and Energy Consulting in Asia-Pacific and Europe.
Andreas has in-depth experience with early-stage corporate and project development across the renewable energy technologies and structured finance. He has been involved in multiple project financing transaction with international equity and debt providers for projects in APAC.
He realized by end of 2008 the first ever “green fund” for the Asia region in a joint cooperation with GE Energy Financial Services as anchor investor. This fund aims to invest around €200 million within a period of five years in renewable energy projects.
Under his management EPURON APAC has received Frost and Sullivan’s prestigious “Asia-Pacific Emerging Power Company of the Year 2008” Award.
Andreas worked for stock listed companies such as Eon, EPURON, REC Group, Conergy, Imperial Tobacco and Beiersdorf as well as for start ups in the sustainable industry as Co-Founder and in the BoD of Avalerion Capital, Kinnarii, La Maison Bio and Floatility headquartered in Singapore and Hamburg.
He holds a double master degree in production engineering and business administration from the Technical University Hamburg-Harburg, University Hamburg and University of Applied Sciences Hamburg.
Andreas is a native of Hamburg, Germany, permanent resident in Singapore since 2006.

John Chang drives strategy and corporate development at Clean Focus. He brings over 33 years of expertise in building enterprise and consumer ventures in both start-up and multinational companies. He has focused on clean technology over the last eight years and previously led several successful technology start-ups, resulting in two IPOs and an acquisition by a public company. John leverages a strong business network in Silicon Valley and Asia.
Previously, John was Chairman of StarCite, where he led the merger of OnVantage and StarCite to form the dominant player with over $60 million in sales in cloud-based meeting-management technology. Prior to StarCite, John co-founded seeUthere Technologies, which later became OnVantage. Before serving as CEO of OnVantage, John was Vice-President of Marketing for Interwoven where he helped launch the company from seven employees to market leadership and an eventual IPO. John also held Section 16 executive officer positions at Insignia Solutions, where he helped take the company public in 1995.
Prior to Insignia, John managed a $600 million business unit at Acer America, and he served in several managerial positions at Hewlett-Packard.
John earned an MBA and Arjay Miller Scholar award from Stanford University and a BSEE with Honors from the California Institute of Technology.

Jung Woo LEE is a Senior Program Manager in Climate Finance in the Green Investment Services Department at GGGI. He is currently working on a team that is developing solar PV projects in Cambodia, Fiji, Lao PDR, Myanmar, and Vanuatu. Prior to joining GGGI in 2014, he was an Energy Analyst in the Office of the Chief Economist at the International Energy Agency (IEA) in Paris, France. He contributed to several IEA reports, including the “World Energy Outlook” – IEA’s flagship annual report – as well as “World Energy Investment Outlook” and “Southeast Asia Energy Outlook”.
