Csilla KOHALMI-MONFILS EVP Strategy, New Business and Digital ENGIE Asia-Pacific – Thailand Csilla KOHALMI-MONFILS is the Head of Strategy, New Business and Digital at ENGIE Asia-Pacific. Before joining ENGIE in 2011 as Strategic Projects Director, Csilla held senior functions at various energy companies in Hungary, including MOL Group. Csilla started her career with Unilever where she headed up business development projects in Europe and Latin America. Later, at the Boston Consulting Group, she developed new business opportunities and managed change projects for corporate clients across the world. Csilla holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering and an MSc in Bioengineering from the Technical University of Budapest (Master thesis in Molecular Biology at CNRS—Institut Jacques Monod in Paris). She also holds an MBA from INSEAD, Fontainebleau.

Sagar Gubbi is the Co-founder/Managing Partner of Ecoforge Advisors. He has over 13 years of experience in RE, EE, Energy Access, Energy Storage, Smart Grids, Microfinance and Engineering. Sagar has lead all of Ecoforge’s advisory and consulting projects (and also as independent consultant for a few projects). He has worked in India, Germany, UK, Philippines, Indonesia and conducted business in Thailand, Myanmar, Tajikistan, Bangladesh, East Africa, South Africa and Portugal. Sagar holds an MBA from the University of Oxford's Said Business School, UK and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Sagar is based in Bangalore, India.

Yuichiro Yoi is the Unit Head for Indonesia at the Private Sector Operations Department of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
Mr. Yoi joined ADB in 2014, and he has been covering Indonesia infrastructure projects from the bank’s Manila Head Quarters since then. His recent work includes Rantau Dedap geothermal IPP financing (signed Mar 2018) and Vena Energy (formerly known as Equis Energy) wind & solar IPP financings, and going forward, he and his team are mandated on two other IPPs in Indonesia.

Prior to ADB, Mr. Yoi worked at the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) where he led his team on numerous IPP deals in the region including Gulf Nong Saeng (Thailand, gas-fired), Gulf U-Thai (Thailand, gas-fired), Sarulla (Indonesia, geothermal), and Rajamandala (Indonesia, hydro).
Mr. Yoi has a Master of Business Administration from Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, UK.

DAVID NIEUWENDIJK /// SENIOR INVESTMENT OFFICER - FMO
David Nieuwendijk is a Senior Investment Officer with the Syndications Department at FMO, the Netherlands Development Finance Company, where he is responsible for FMO’s Syndicated loan transactions in the Renewable Energy space. Prior to joining the Syndications department, Mr. Nieuwendijk was a Senior Investment Officer at FMO’s Private Equity department, responsible for FMO’s Private Equity activities in South East Asia, Eastern and Central Europe. During his time with the Private Equity department, Mr. Nieuwendijk served on various Boards of private equity funds as an Advisory Board Member. Prior to joining the Private Equity Department, Mr. Nieuwendijk worked as a Senior Investment Officer at the Special Operations department (special credits) of FMO, where he was responsible for FMO’s distressed portfolio in Asia, Africa as well as in Latin America. In addition, Mr. Nieuwendijk served for several years as member of FMO’s Investment Committee. Prior to that, he was an Investment Officer with the Asia Department at FMO, where he was responsible for the loan portfolio across the Asia region. Mr. Nieuwendijk started his banking career in 1991 as an Account Manager with Banque Nationale de Paris in Amsterdam, where he was responsible for part of BNP’s international credit portfolio. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Henley Management College in Henley-on-Thames, United Kingdom.

NATHAN SCHMIDT /// HEAD OF ASIA - CLIMATE FUND MANAGERS
Nathan is the director of CFM's investments in Asia. He is responsible for deal origination, structuring and management in developing Asian economies.

He is an investment professional with over 16 years of experience in both the buy and sell sides of energy and infrastructure investments, totalling over $6 billion. In 2010 Nathan was a founding memberof a $2.7 billion private equity fund, Equis, which invests in Asia. Prior, he was the Senior Manager and Head of Acquisitions for Macquariem Korea Opportunities Management (MKOM), manager at Shinhan Macquariem Financial Advisory and an executive in Maquariem Securities Inc. in the US.

He has worked on the exploration, development and operation of renewable energy projects of up to 700 MW capacity all around Asia and has a proven track record in origination, development, commercial due diligence, project finance and financial modeling & valuation.

Nathan holds Bachelors of Science as well as Bachelors of Law degrees from the University of Sydney.

Mr. Bohne is currently leading Conergy’s C & I solar business in Asia Pacific. He was previously in charge of Conergy’s EPC business unit serving the company’s core markets of SEA, Australia and Japan, focusing on grid-connected power plants and hybrid systems. Currently based in the regional headquarters in Singapore his responsibilities cover origination and delivery of the project to commercial operation. As part of the diversification of the business, Mr. Bohne is part of the Steering Committee of GRIDSTOR - a global energy storage initiative from an international consortium.

Mr. Bohne has been with Conergy since 2007 in its offices in India, UAE and Singapore and has amongst other overseen the market entries for Thailand, Middle East, Japan and the Philippines.

Mr. Bohne has an MBA in business and engineering from Germany and holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the Netherlands.

Carlos is a graduated Mechanical Engineer and has a master degree in business administration (MBA).
As Global Finance Segment Leader from the energy division, Carlos is in charge of the relationships of main investors, lenders and other financial players with DNV GL.
His experience in renewables extends over 10 years with relevant experience in several fields such as: administration and operation of wind power plants and energy systems in deregulated markets, development of greenfield projects in the renewable sector, manufacturing of wind turbines, analysis and evaluation of emerging markets, active search of partnership on international markets development.

Carlos has been involved in development, financing, evaluation and analysis of renewable energy projects worldwide, with participation in over 10,000 MW wind projects. Carlos has international experience in energy markets, regulatory systems and project development in Caribbean and Latin America, Eastern Europe and, Africa.

Ruth P Briones is a climate change engineer and sustainability regulatory expert. Under her direct supervision and leadership, was the development of a total capacity of 1400.0MW of renewable energy projects in the Philippines and Asia. 1200.0MW of which are solar energy and 200.0 MW waste-to-energy and biomass projects. Currently, she is negotiating for PPP Waste-to-Energy projects in Indonesia and primary cities in the Philippines. This year (2018), she has started the development of agro-Solar PV - community based and micro-grid solar PV projects in the Philippines.
In 2015, she was declared as one of the 40 Global Sustainability Superstars during the 2015 World's Sustainability Congress in Mauritius in December, and was conferred the "sustainability Leadership Award" in that Congress. Subsequently, she was listed and presented as one of the most impactful green leaders, globally, during the 2016 World CSR Congress in Mumbai, India. In 2017, she was presented the Sustainability Leadership Excellence Award by the international Management Excellence Council.
After working with the Philippine Government for 25 years and with the Asian Development Bank, she was involved with several entities focused on climate change mitigation, sustainable environment, renewable energy development, policy formulation and research. She has also organized and created three companies focused on sustainability: Greenergy Solutions Inc, Living Projects for People Philippines and Firmgreen Phils Inc.
Ruth is one of the authors of the Berkshire Encyclopedia of Sustainability Volume VII- Public-Private Partnerships which was published in 2014. She also authored the framework of the Philippines' Zero Waste Agenda as scheme for circular economy and the sustainable community-based renewable energy programme for the ASEAN region.
