Geoffrey Tan is a Managing Director at Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), and is OPIC’s Asia-Pacific regional representative based in Bangkok, Thailand.
Mr. Tan has worked in emerging markets infrastructure financing for over 19 years. Since joining OPIC in 2003, he has worked primarily on power, renewable energy, water, toll roads and port projects, but has also diversified into future flow and financial institutions transactions. These projects have been across Latin America, the Middle East, Central and Eastern Europe, Africa and Asia. He has been involved in innovative and groundbreaking deals requiring creative project and long term debt structuring solutions in unique and challenging environments.
Prior to OPIC Mr. Tan worked for the Chase Manhattan Bank (now JPMorgan Chase) in New York, Singapore and Hong Kong focusing on project and structured finance, and for Emerging Markets Partnership in Singapore focusing on private equity infrastructure investments. His work with them in the Americas and Asia included experience in the power, oil & gas, mining, telecommunications, transportation, pulp & paper, and petrochemical sectors.
Mr. Tan is a graduate of Cornell University and the University of Virginia, and also attended the Université Catholique de Louvain in Belgium.

Gary Zieff is an accomplished renewable energy expert with over 18 years’ experience in emerging and established energy markets. He is currently based in Vietnam serving as Principal Energy Advisor with USAID’s Vietnam Low Emission Energy Program (V-LEEP). He leads private sector engagement to improve access to financing and development expertise for Vietnamese renewable energy developers. Gary brings cross-functional project development experience to VLEEP through his prior project work in the US, Caribbean, East Africa, Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia. Before joining Deloitte, Gary developed and implemented an investment strategy for a portfolio of one hundred MW’s of third party owned commercial and industrial (C&I) solar PV projects, led business development for a Thai EPC and managed large portfolios of investor owned PV assets.

Ruth P Briones is a climate change engineer and sustainability regulatory expert. Under her direct supervision and leadership, was the development of a total capacity of 1400.0MW of renewable energy projects in the Philippines and Asia. 1200.0MW of which are solar energy and 200.0 MW waste-to-energy and biomass projects. Currently, she is negotiating for PPP Waste-to-Energy projects in Indonesia and primary cities in the Philippines. This year (2018), she has started the development of agro-Solar PV - community based and micro-grid solar PV projects in the Philippines.
In 2015, she was declared as one of the 40 Global Sustainability Superstars during the 2015 World's Sustainability Congress in Mauritius in December, and was conferred the "sustainability Leadership Award" in that Congress. Subsequently, she was listed and presented as one of the most impactful green leaders, globally, during the 2016 World CSR Congress in Mumbai, India. In 2017, she was presented the Sustainability Leadership Excellence Award by the international Management Excellence Council.
After working with the Philippine Government for 25 years and with the Asian Development Bank, she was involved with several entities focused on climate change mitigation, sustainable environment, renewable energy development, policy formulation and research. She has also organized and created three companies focused on sustainability: Greenergy Solutions Inc, Living Projects for People Philippines and Firmgreen Phils Inc.
Ruth is one of the authors of the Berkshire Encyclopedia of Sustainability Volume VII- Public-Private Partnerships which was published in 2014. She also authored the framework of the Philippines' Zero Waste Agenda as scheme for circular economy and the sustainable community-based renewable energy programme for the ASEAN region.

Michelle is one of the leading advisers globally in the renewables sector. Under her leadership, the Eversheds Sutherland Clean Energy team has advised on over 40GW of clean energy projects. This has granted her industry recognition including being listed as a leader in renewables by 'The Lawyer Hot 100 Lawyers’, being named Solar Woman of the Year for MENA in 2014 and 2015 by the Middle East Solar Industry Association (MESIA), being invited to the UK Government’s POWERful Women Group and named for the last 3 years as being one of the top 100 people in global wind power by ‘A Word About Wind’. She is on the Advisory Boards of the Climate Change Initiative, BPVA, MESIA and other key bodies.

Zia has more than 15 years of experience in financial advisory and debt arranging in power, infrastructure and resources sector, largely in developing markets in Asia. Currently, Zia heads SMBC's power, infrastructure and renewables business in the project finance space for Asia. Before SMBC, Zia has worked with Fuji Bank (now Mizuho) and PWC. Zia has an MBA from Asian Institute of Management, Manila, and an undergraduate degree in electrical and electronics engineering from India.
